Past Times Coffee House & Restaurant

Street parking is available for this throwback eatery with high ceilings, old paints, and creaky wood floors. We were lucky enough to score a spot in front of the venue. We were greeted promptly by a hostess in in a black dress. She led us to a booth with benches reminiscent of church pews made of wood with ends that made it hard to get in and out of. Once settled a bubbly server came to take our drink order offering a list of warm specialty drinks. We declined in favor of Diet Coke and water. Drinks were served so promptly we were not ready to order, yet right after deciding on lunch we were able to order. Aaron went with a The Philly and Sweet Potato Chips while Chris opted for a Bavarian Hogg with Sweet Corn Nuggets. Our orders were promptly received. Chris bit into her sandwich to find pulled only pork on sour dough bread. She thought perhaps the goodies (cheese, sauerkraut, etc.) didn’t reach the ends so she went for another bite and found the same dry bite. The server was close and attentive. When asked where the rest of the sandwich was she asked if she could take the plate. Less than 5 minutes later Chris' plate returned with the same sandwich (minus the two bites) with the fixings. The bill was not modified because of the mishap.

Overall, a decent place for lunch; the food and server were good. But they need to work on getting the order right. And when it isn't right, they need to discount the price.
